It’s passed 9 years since the release of RF2 back in 2013 therefore I expect Studio 397 to release a new game sequel pretty soon. I’m pretty sure there will be an RF3 anytime soon. It’s also worth mentioning that rFactor 2 is more expensive than rFactor 1, but I believe that the extra cost is completely worth it. The graphics are more realistic, the physics are more accurate, the level of realism is higher and there’s a wider selection of content. Overall it appears that the developers at Studio 397 took everything they learned from the original rFactor game and used it to create an even better sequel. Is rFactor 2 better than rFactor 1?Ībsolutely. It’s $7 more expensive though I think that wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying the RF2 game. Nowadays the community part plays a major role in the success or failure of racing games, since if they won’t be able to race online with fellow drivers they’d probably quit the game for another ones. It has a much better system that allows for more organized and competitive races which is key for keeping the audience engaged. When it comes to online multiplayer, again, RF2 is the clear winner. One aspect where RF2 falls short compared to RF1 is the lack of classic cars. This is to be expected as RF2 is a more recent game and, over time, more content has been added.

Having said that, there’s no doubt that the majority would confirm that RF2 is a way more realistic experience.
